2. collection, processing and use of personal data
2.1 Personal data
Personal data is information about factual or personal circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, name, telephone number, address and all data that you provide to us in the context of participation in our events.
Aggregated data that we collect, for example, when you visit our website or in the form of counts at on-site events, and that cannot be directly linked to you personally, are not included here.
2.2 Collection, processing and use of personal data
We collect, store and process your data for support in the run-up to and during participation in our events, including any subsequent warranties, for our services, technical administration and our own marketing purposes. Your personal data will only be disclosed or otherwise transferred to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing or billing, or if you have given your prior consent (for example, we must disclose your name to a hotel or airline if you have booked the accommodation or transport service through us, but a third company provides the relevant service). In the context of our events, for example, the service providers we use here receive the necessary data for order processing. The data thus passed on may only be used by our service providers to fulfill their task. Any other use of the information is not permitted and does not take place with any of the service providers entrusted by us. Your personal data will be deleted if this does not conflict with statutory retention obligations and if you have asserted a claim for deletion, if the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.
2.3 Advertising via e-mail
Participants of our events will receive recommendations and references to future events from us after your participation. You will receive these recommendations from us automatically. In this way, we want to send you information about our offer that may interest you based on your participation in past events. In doing so, we strictly comply with legal requirements. If you no longer wish to receive recommendations or promotional messages from us, you can object to this at any time. A notification in text form to the contact data mentioned under point 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every e-mail.
3. log files
Each time our web pages are accessed, usage data is transmitted by the respective web browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The stored data records contain the following data: Date and time of access, name of the page accessed, IP address, referrer URL (origin URL from which you came to the web pages), the amount of data transferred, and the product and version number of the browser used. The IP addresses of users are deleted or anonymized after 30 days. In the case of anonymization, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that the individual information about personal or factual circumstances can no longer be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person, or can only be assigned to such a person with a disproportionate amount of time, cost and effort. We evaluate these log file data records in anonymized form in order to further improve our web presence and to find technical errors more quickly.

Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can download this add-on at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. However, please note that this is currently only available for Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera.
