How to get to Dresden for the German Football Festival

With over 500,000 inhabitants, Dresden is the second largest city in Saxony and is therefore easy to reach from all over Germany and Europe - whether by car, train or plane. On site you don't have to worry either, because the tournament site is centrally located in the old town and therefore well connected to the public transport. From Dresden's main train station, for example, you can reach the sports facility in just under 15 minutes.
If you need assistance with planning, we will of course be happy to help!

Location of the tournament and arrival

However, Dresden Airport is also located just outside of Dresden, so getting there from more distant cities is not that difficult.
By public transport you can then quickly get to Sportpark Ostra - this is where the whole tournament will take place!

Journey to Dresden

In 2024, the German Football Festival will be held for the first time in Dresden, the capital of Saxony. The city is less than 40 kilometers from the Czech border, just under 200 kilometers south of Berlin and 150 kilometers north of Prague, the Czech capital. So the easiest and fastest way to get there from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria is usually by train, car or bus. However, Dresden Airport is also located just outside of Dresden, so getting here from cities further away is not that difficult.
By public transport you can then quickly get to Sportpark Ostra - this is where the whole tournament will take place!
