Tournament location: Dresden

Dresden

We play the tournament in the middle of Dresden. The capital of Saxony is located less than 40 km from the Czech border and is especially known for its many historic buildings such as the Frauenkirche, Semperoper or Zwinger. In addition, the Elbe flows through the city and there are many green corners in the city. Since the sports facility is located directly in the old town of Dresden, most of the sights can be reached on foot in less than 30 minutes - so look forward to a perfect tournament with a great sports facility and a city trip in Dresden!

Steamboat trip on the Elbe

The Elbe River flows through Dresden, so it's worth taking a steamboat ride during your stay in Dresden. Here you can see the city from a different perspective and see many of the sights from the water!

Moritzburg Wildlife and Adventure Park

Just outside Dresden lies the Moritzburg Game Reserve: More than 30 native animal species live in the game park. There is also a forest high ropes course on the grounds - with eight courses that are indisputably difficult.

Ride suspension railroad

A special experience in Dresden is a ride on the over one hundred year old suspension railroad. The train goes to the district of Oberloschwitz, where you can take a short walk. But the highlight is definitely the great panoramic view during the ride.

Transport Museum

On more than 5000 square meters of exhibition space there are various exciting exhibits from the history of road transport, railroads, aviation and shipping to discover. The museum is centrally located on Neumarkt next to the Frauenkirche.

Arrival to the tournament

How to get to Dresden

The German Football Festival will take place in Dresden, the capital of Saxony, in 2025. The city is less than 40 kilometres from the Czech border, just under 200 kilometres south of Berlin and 150 kilometres north of Prague, the Czech capital. This means that travelling from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria is usually easiest and quickest by train, car or bus.
However, Dresden Airport is also located just outside of Dresden, so getting there from more distant cities is not that difficult.
By public transport you can then quickly get to Sportpark Ostra - this is where the whole tournament will take place!
